Dirty Brickster is a kind of white elephant gift exchange game. It was first widely played at BrickFest Participants each bring a wrapped item, valued at a prearranged amount, and a game is played. In lot chosen order each participant either steals an already opened present, or opens a new one. When stealing, everyone chants "Dirty Brickster". The victim can then steal or open. Once the chain of stealing stops, the next participant goes. Typically there is freezing so a gift can only be stolen N (typically 3) times, and there is a no steal right back rule.

Participants often collude ("You steal this now and when it's my turn I'll steal it back so you can steal that other thing") to get the most desirable things frozen. At BrickFest 2005, the Michons were so successful they walked away with what were widely viewed as the 4 most desirable items.
