Container on flat car
From Brickwiki
|
Container on Flat Car or COFC is a US intermodal term, and it means just what you might think, a container has been placed on a flatcar (or piggyback car). Piggyback, however, is not an interchangable term with COFC.
Contrast with TOFC in which an entire trailer is placed on a flatcar or piggyback car.
This term is much more prevalent among railfans than among ALEs.
