Brand retail

Brand retail is a term used by LEGO to denote stores of a certain type. It is guesswork what exactly this means, and it may change over time, but they seem to have all or most of the following characteristics:

  • Carry exclusively LEGO product
  • Operated by LEGO directly or (perhaps?) under a franchise relationship
  • Heavily LEGO branded and themed
  • May have items that are not available at other retailers in the geography (such as items tagged hard to find or Not available in any store)
  • Usually have a Pick a brick wall
