Bag Inventory

A Bag Inventory is a listing of the part contents of a set. It breaks the parts down by what bag they come in. Bag Inventories are important for resolving the bagging used in LDD 1.4 LEGO Factory palettes.

Unfortunately, in general, a bag inventory may not necessarily be definitive. For example set 5542 (to pick just one example!) is known to come in at least three different bag breakdowns, speculated to be due to having been produced in differing production runs, with the parts baggers set up differently.

it is hoped that for the purposes of LEGO Factory inventorying, that won't be a problem.

Peeron inventories sometimes (but not usually) have bag breakdowns, or did. However spot checking on 1 September 2005 did not find any sets that did. (counter examples should be edited in)
